Happy Valentine's Day from outside of the Planned Parenthood!

Happy Valentine's Day as we pray outside of the Planned Parenthood abortion facility!

Sometimes the pace required to "keep up" in our world, can make an hour or a day or a "cause" or taking care of another life look like a huge sacrifice.

Yet it is the sacrifice that makes the love so beautiful and it is the love that opens our desire to want to sacrifice for the good of another person.

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."  - John 15:13

During these 40 Days of sacrifice, we are not fasting and praying for an end to abortion because it is enjoyable; we are sacrificing because we LOVE life and we love each stranger that God has put in front of us as a unique person created with a purpose in God's Divine Plan. During these 40 Days of prayer and fasting, we are building up towards our renewal in the celebration of the ultimate act of love, Christ's Passion, Death on the cross for our salvation and Resurrection.  Christ voluntarily laid down his life, and He would have done this for any one of us as if we were the only person alive because He loves each of us that much.  We rejoice in His great merciful gift of Salvation!

So this Valentine's Day, as many give up the pleasure of chocolate and other enjoyments as we begin this time of fasting, we also find other ways to give love to both those in front of us and to the One Whose Love is Eternal and all-fulfilling!

We look to His sacrifice on Calvary and we recall his Resurrection. We see Jesus, fully God and fully man save His Bride from eternal death and separation from Him and restore her to Life and begin to prepare her for the ultimate Wedding Feast of the Lamb, of which marriage on earth is a mere glorious reflection!

May we always keep Jesus, our Savior, in the forefront of our mind as we spend this time, this sacrifice of love, in prayer for the protection of the unborn and their mothers to be saved from abortion and for the conversion of the workers and of our society!
